horror genre: Movie posters

Horror Genre

Horror films seek to bring out a negative emotional reaction from viewers by playing on the audiences worst fears, nightmares and fear of the unknown. They often feature scenes that startle the viewer through the means of macabre and the supernatural, thus frequently overlapping with the fantasy and science fiction genres.

Above are a few movie posters; the movies are with in the horror genre. In these movies there is a lot of violence, gore and scary moments, I have seen these movies my self.
The three movies are:

Halloween (2007) a remake of the original, also a few years later there is a sequel to this movie. Obviously called Halloween 2, these movies fit into the sub genre; slasher film

30 days of night; also a 2007 movie, based in Alaska, so far north that the sun does not rise for 30 days. This has vampires in the movie and they are the main creatures and they kill the townspeople at night.  This is a horror, although I cannot find a sub genre to put it in at the moment.

Final Destination; this is a 2009 American supernatural horror film. Based on an invisible force that claims the lives of people, which they cannot escape from. In the movie you see how they die and through a viewers eyes you can predict how as well.
